On the night of October 8th 2017 catastrophic fires suddenly swept through Sonoma, Napa and Mendocino Counties.  Some 3,500 homes were destroyed and tens of thousands of residents in Santa Rosa alone were displaced.

Wildfire Relief Fund

The Pastors Wildfire Relief Fund has been established to provide temporary assistance to those parishoners in need of temporary relief from hardships caused by the wildfire catastrophe surrounding the Santa Rosa area in October 2017. Your generous donations will be carefully provided under the direction of Father Lawrence.

UPDATED October 31, 2017

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your generous donations to our Wildfire Relief Fund. As of October 31 we have received over $26,000 in donations. These donations have made it possible for us to assist a number of parish members and friends whose homes were destroyed or damaged. Contributions were also made to Catholic Charities of Santa Rosa, with whom we partner to help the homeless; to a group which is raising funds for nine Eritrean families who lost their homes and to those who lost wages.

Detailed records of donations and expenditures are being kept by Martin Thong our Parish Treasurer, and Bobbi Griovski, who assists him.  Our records will also be sent to the Diocesan office.

Recovery from such devastation will be a long term process, so we will be carefully managing the funds we have in order to help those, down the line, who need it. Our parish is committed to respond wherever and whenever there is a need.

May God bless you for the care and concern  you have shown for those who have suffered here in Sonoma County. We will pray for you and thank God for your generosity.

In Christ,

 V Rev. Lawrence Margitich
